A scent, a landscape, a moment, a taste, a caress, a hug, a sensation… Memories are often deeply ingrained in our minds due to the emotions we experience in those moments, making them easier to recall simply by closing our eyes.

With the aim of portraying the most incredible love stories to make them last in time, Kettiricordi was born in Barcelona, Spain. My mission is to seize those fleeting moments which would otherwise be unseen and preserve them for posterity, creating a visual narrative filled with the most beautiful scenes.

ABOUT MIKE

Hi! I’m Mike Marchetti – the photographer behind Kettiricordi. 

As a creative person and someone who values authentic connections in life, I feel deeply connected to beauty, people, and the moments that pass quietly but say everything. I believe a good image holds space for emotion. It makes you stop… It makes you feel.

Photography, to me, isn’t about directing a scene. It’s about noticing the right one. I listen. I observe. I wait for the honest in-between. Having walked the aisle myself, I know just how personal this day is – and how important it is to feel supported and understood from start to finish.

Every detail is essential in an exclusive and unique event like your wedding day, contributing to how vividly you’ll remember it for your years together and for the future generations to come.

Where are you from and what makes you unique?

I currently live in Barcelona where I have been living for a decade, but my roots come from other places creating a cultural mix that I am proud of; half-Italian and half-Indonesian, I bring the the delicacy and harmony of the Italian culture mixed with the calm and human warmth of Indonesia, creating a particular and unique vision that I can offer and deliver to the world.

The most important thing is whether you actually connect with the person. You’ll be spending one of the most personal days of your life with your photographer – so beyond the portfolio, pay attention to how they communicate, whether they listen, and whether they make you feel at ease. From there, it’s worth looking at their experience with weddings similar to yours, what’s included in their packages (hours of coverage, editing, album options, digital delivery), and of course, whether it fits your budget. But having good chemistry comes first; everything else follows from that.

My style of photography blends a documentary approach mixed with an aesthetic and editorial concept. I focus on capturing the authentic and intimate moments, creating timeless photographs for you and your family. 

The couple’s session, also known as an engagement shoot, is a valuable opportunity to get to know your photographer, become familiar with their style, and establish a sense of trust before the big day. That can make a real difference when the moments that matter most are actually happening.

It’s ideal to book at least 6 months in advance, especially if you’re getting married during peak season or in a popular wedding destination. This will allow you to secure the availability you desire and avoid last-minute setbacks.

Your wedding album is a precious investment that should be protected. Opt for high-quality materials like durable photographic papers and proper bindings. Store your album in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. With proper care, you’ll be able to enjoy your beautiful memories for generations.

One of the bigger shifts I’ve seen is moving away from the overly posed and ‘luxury’ magazine-cover approach and towards something that actually looks like their day. No one else gets your exact day, your people, your place, that specific moment, and that is what makes it exclusive. 
Drone shots can be stunning for the right venue and setting, but for me, the most timeless and meaningful ones always come from staying close to the people.

Absolutely. I always arrive fully prepared with backup cameras, lenses, and essential gear – just in case. Throughout the day, I use a variety of lenses to capture different perspectives and tell your story in the most complete way possible. Having reliable backups also ensures your day is captured smoothly from start to finish, no matter what. It’s all part of being a professional!
